Sedao's Insight

My name Sedao comes from a famous Japanese jazz musician called Sadao Watanabe.  My parents were really into jazz and decided that since I was half Japanese to name me after a Japanese jazz musician hence the formation of the name Sedao.  It got changed from Sadao to Sedao because I had to be a little different.

My full name is Calvin Sedao Smith and I am a recent undergrad from the University of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.  Since I have graduated I have really tried to get involved in the movement of going green.  This idea is fairly old however which most people are unaware of.  People in the European culture have been green for a very long time but I am hoping now that the US is all up in the air about going green that I can be apart of this concept.  All facets of my ideas are based on green, and what I mean by that is I am doing a research project on the housing market, I do cost-benefit analysis on green technologies for a development company, and I am getting into social media so that I can spread the word out more on the use of green technologies.  Meanwhile I am always learning about new green news, practices, and technologies. 

To add I am also a Certified Green Professional from the Master Builder’s Association in Bellevue, and I am currently working on becoming LEED AP v3 certified as well as becoming a Built Green verifier. All while trying to get a job.
